JOS Applications Suite Introduction

Well, this is where it all begins, the production of JOS Applications Suite.

The idea behinds this lies in the fact, that we're gonna need applications such as a formatting text editor, paint program, calendar, e-mail, compression utility (using java.util.zip and/or jar) and the rest.

This will be acheived by defining the need for 'certain' JavaBeans, and brainstorming to create those particular beans. These beans will be segments of their appropriate ModelViewController parts and as their features will cascade down through applications, they will become the foundations for larger projects. In a nutshell, a text editing bean for example, will consist of its features (cut/copy/paste, find/replace, etc), a controller, its GUI interface and a text-based interface. Any of these features, can be implemented by an email app, simple text editing app and wherever simple text editing is concerned. It may then be subclassed, to create a formatted text editing bean for use in a word processor, etc, etc.

We must keep in mind that:

WE NEED TO ALL PULL AT ONE ROPE!

The end result will be a suite of applications, that will give the 'big-boys' a run for their money. Please, lets be democratic, and work for one goal. Lastly, they have to be '100% Java' until a JOS Service Layer has been determined.

Let's make it reality!!
