This is the area where for discussion about the JOS Look and Feel

By this we refer to a JFC/swing L&F jar file that is pluggable alongside rose, motif, mac and windows(ones which sun might give us), as opposed to general discourse about the look and feel of the OS, which can be discussed many places like UserInterfaceGroup.

Sudjested readings for creating a new look and feel. To access these sights you must register with javasoft. (Recomended too)

Is anyone interested in starting a JOS-standard L&F? If so, please post here or send me an email. I think we should incorporate some of the ideas that SAP used in designing their own L&F, specifically HSB palettes, extending existing L&F's. Additionally, I think we should work on emulations of existing L&F's, like Motif, Windows, Mac, without requiring that those "native" L&F's be on the "native" system. (Basically so we don't have UnsupportedLookAndFeel exceptions).
