IMHO, that is something that will never happen, and you shouldn't waste your time on it. In some sense, it is the same as willing to get the Web clean again :-), hard disks clean again, and so on. The only option available is to start again from scatch using YetAnotherProtocol, reformat c:, and so on.

I won't attend the meeting (three good reasons : no IRC, not online on sundays, in holyday on that day) but I hope the JOS will stay alive and kicking. Maybe you should try to get contacts and/or funds with the JavaLobby ?

But I think we need something like a structure, else we'll run into trouble. Is it ok to use ``structured´´ instead of ``clean´´? There should be something like a ``backbone´´, or ``tree´´, you can use to navigate the site and find things you search for, so Wiki won't be clean but ``structured´´; )

Alternative: We need a WikiSearch

good idea Mark. Since we may be using servlets for Wiki in the near future maybe we should create a "WikiML" and translate the old pages into it, this would make it much easier to search and navigate not to mention to create pages (I love Wiki but sometimes its just plain hard to work with (making complex lists usually takes me 3-4 trys))

IMHO we should have two sites. Or at least have a public and private section to one site. This would allow us to present information to visitors in a clean and organized fashion all the while keeping the pages in the background flexible enough for us to work with.

I think the idea is to have the top page static, and updated often, and perhaps one or two other static pages (depends on target audience) A wikiroad map is a good idea, too. Please contact me if you are interested in planning a method of attack on this stuff. (I have been missing meetings lately due to sleep)
