I sent this message to David Adams a few days ago but here is a copy --
I am interested in becoming involved with the JOS project. I am not sure what I can do to contribute, but I strongly believe in the promise of Java as a truly portable, reliable, open and high-performance language. I applaud this groups' efforts at developing a "free" OS in Java and believe this is a great next step in the effort to bring Java to the masses.
I am currently a systems integration consultant, and I have been programming in Java for about a year on the Win32, AIX and Solaris platforms. I have developed applications, applets and servlets to do a variety of things from performance engineering to self-service interfaces for the Internet. I also have experience with C, C++, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic, and COBOL and have some exposure to application architecture and user interface design.
I'm not sure what I can do to contribute, but I would like to become involved with this project. Please let me know what I can do to help.
