I have been programming in Java for the last year (mostly GUI stuff with a little networking) and am interested in participating. I am mainly interested in the GUI, Networking and Security aspects of the OS. This project reminds me of the initial Linux phenomenon and to me the notion of free software being developed in Java is exactly the kind of use Java should be put to.
