Hi,
I'm a 19 year old developer with experience in web-db (also jdbc) programming. I have been a linux sysop and webmaster at the OLSN (German school net, http://siemens.md.st.schule.de/OLSN) for about 3 years and wrote a lot of tools for cgi-scripting and gdbm access during that time. I started programming in BASIC (...) and PASCAL but am now working with C++ (since 5 years) and java only.
To me THE JOS PROJECT is a unique opportunity to bring together the freedom and power of a project like linux with clean freshness of a well-designed, mainly not compatability-payoff-ladden platform like like. I'm especially interested here in finding new ways to deal with data (e.g. get away from the file concept), ui and the development of a framework for more open, interconnected applications (in contrast to monolithic ones, like ...hmm... Word).
So let's make a true new and unique OS ! Happy coding,
