I extended on the memo subsystem ideas in the specifications and class outline. I evolved the concept of a project collaboration area within the RCS.

Naturally. The idea is to make the product as open as possible so as to accomodate any type of project of any kind of structure. Once its finsihed, it could even be a tool we could use on the site here to organize the JOS source code tree if we wanted to. Each project, area, and resource is treated as a separate piece, so people can download/upload as little or as much as they want.

I like the sound of this could we also have this. In the JOS source tree we wanted to have multipule projects, for different kernels, vm's, etc.

So the tree would look like this on the clients machine.

jos
 + interface
 + kernel
 | + kernel1
 | + kernel2
 + vm
 | + vm1
 | + vm2
 + device
 + library

So we would like people to be able to download say, kernel1 and vm2, instead of everything.

The general idea behind this project is to create a platform-independent, project-independent revision control system. The entire system is accessed through online web pages that are served up by Java servlets. The system allows for any kinds of projects to be maintained, such as source code for software, documentation, or anything else that can be handled by a file-based revision control system. Take a look at the specs and let me know if you have any ideas.
