I have been a programmer for 14 years. The past three years I have been a consultant doing OO/Java work and setting up web infrastructures. I have been using java since it first came out.
I want to help code and test. I wouldn't mind taking an area of the
product to coordinate. I would also like to participate in the
specs/design.

I just started using Java 1.1.7 about 6 weeks ago on Linux.
Other than simple testing applets, I have been able to make FB
compile with Swing 1.1 and am writing a highly focused DB applet
for work. Although I am new to Java, I have about 3 years experience
with Perl and 8 years experience with just general ripting/programming in DOS and specific applications. My main interest in FB is as an open source replacement for my favorite IDE (MultiEdit for Windows). My areas of interest within FB are project management interfaces and source editor bells and whistles (context sensitive paramater listing, etc.).
